Olympus offers a versatile line-up of cytology brushes to meet the needs of specific clinical requirements.
All brushes are equipped with a metal tip that allows perfect visibility under fluoroscopy and an atraumatic brushing procedure. With their fine micro bristles, they proved to collect significantly more cells compared to standard bristles with better diagnostic results.

Single-use cytology brushes - BC-202D-2010

This cytology brush is equipped with fine nylon micro bristles of 2.0 mm brush diameter to provide a superior cell collection compared to standard bristles. The blunt design of the metal tip allows an atraumatic sampling and enables clear visibility under fluoroscopy. Brushes are also available in 1.2, 3.0 and 5.0 mm brush diameter and all of them are compatible with a 2.0 mm bronchoscope channel.

Single-use mini cytology brushes - BC-201C-1006

The BC-201C-1006 cytology brush with bristles of 1.0 mm brush diameter is designed for paediatric/peripheral bronchoscopes with a 1.2 mm instrument channel to provide optimised cytological yield. There are two types available either with or without outer sheath.
