Miniature Probe
Miniature Probe
Ideal for endobronchial ultrasonography, this miniature probe fits through the 2.8 mm working channel of standard therapeutic bronchoscopes and is equipped with the dedicated MAJ-643R balloon sheath for excellent acoustic coupling. The 360° radial, 20 MHz ultrasound scan displays the different bronchial tissue layers and thus allows differentiation of ingrowing versus compressing lesions.
The radial scanning EBUS balloonprobe UM-BS20-26R connects to Olympus mechanical radial ultrasound driving units compatible with Olympus EU-ME2 (Olympus universal endoscopic ultrasound centre). Radial ultrasound empowers physicians with a safe and effective method to visualise and diagnose abnormalities in or adjacent to the central airways. The slim balloon probe, designed to fit through a 2.8 mm working channel of standard therapeutic bronchoscopes, can be inflated using deaerated water to ensure excellent acoustic coupling. In addition, the radial 360° ultrasound view enables precise examination of the airway tissue layers and adjacent structures.
The 20MHz miniprobe combined with a dedicated balloon sheath catheter (MAJ-643R) provides clear ultrasound diagnostics in the central regions of the bronchi.
Probe and balloon sheath fit through a 2.8 mm working channel of a standard therapeutic bronchoscope.
The mechanical radial scanning probe has 360° circumferential scanning direction, providing a panoramic ultrasonic view for precise examination of bronchial tissue layers and adjacent structures.
Combined with a balloon sheath, the radial EBUS miniprobe provides safe and efficient ultrasound diagnostics.
The balloonprobe fits through a 2.8 mm working channel of a standard therapeutic bronchoscope.
Providing a radial 360° ultrasonic scan for precise examination of the airway tissue layers and adjacent structures.
Conceived to assure acoustic coupling in the central airways the dedicated balloon catheter MAJ-643R can be attached to the miniature probe. Incorporating a rupture prevention mechanism, the balloon probe can be inflated at the distal end to a maximum diameter of 20 mm.
