Fluoroplastic: Excellent tolerability

Fluoroplastic ventilation tubes combine smoothness with biocompatibility for excellent tolerability.

PacifiC: Enhanced bacterial resistance

PacifiC, a phosphorylcholine coating applied to fluoroplastic ventilation tubes, provides an inert coating with resistance to bacterial adhesion.

Silicone: Inertness and elasticity

Commonly used in medical implants, silicone provides both inertness and elasticity.

UltraSil: Increase surface tension

UltraSil, a treatment applied to silicone ventilation tubes, further smoothes silicone and increases surface tension, enhancing resistance to bioadhesion.

Titanium: Excellent corrosion resistance

Used in many medical implants, titanium is light weight and MRI compatible, and combines excellent corrosion resistance with tissue tolerability.

Material benefits

For many years, ENT surgeons have trusted our Armstrong, DuraVent, and Modified T-Tubes, featuring our PacifiC and UltraSil treatments.

Fluoroplastic: inert and biocompatible

Fluoroplastic polymers are used in a wide range of industrial, medical, and home applications. Known popularly by the brand name Teflon, fluoroplastics are highly regarded by otologists for their inertness, smoothness of texture, and biocompatibility.

PacifiC: enhancing bacterial resistance

PacifiC is a patented and unique phosphorylcholine coating applied to fluoroplastic ventilation tubes that mimics the structure of natural membranes, providing enhanced resistance to bacterial adhesion.

Silicone: compliancy and elasticity

Silicone is commonly used in medical implants and silicone ventilation tubes provide both compliancy and elasticity with an inert and smooth finish.

UltraSil: minimally bioadhesive

UltraSil is a patented surface treatment applied to silicone, that improves the surface properties of silicone ventilation tubes by increasing its smoothness and critical surface tension, contributing to its minimally bioadhesive qualities.

Polyethylene: bioinertness in microsurgery

Used in a variety of microsurgery applications, polyethylene is a popular bioinert implant material. Available in white and blue, polyethylene is appropriate for otology implants.

Titanium: resisting corrosion

Titanium (ASTM F 136) is used in many medical implants, providing excellent corrosion resistance and a high tolerance for biological tissues. Titanium is light weight and MRI compatible.

Micron: improving visibility

Micron, a patented finishing process for titanium implants, not only smoothes the surface of titanium but also dulls it, reducing glare and improving visibility during tympanoplasty.

Stainless steel: corrosion resistant microstructure

Stainless steel (ASTM F 138, Grade 2) is a special implant-grade steel used in medical prostheses, which offers a balance between corrosion-resistant chemistry and an extremely clean microstructure.

Full line up including different materials, sizes and diameters to meet the physicians' preferences.
