The BF-H290 routine bronchoscope provides high definition images of unprecedented quality in white light and NBI mode. This new flagship of Olympus diagnostic bronchoscopes features increased upward angulation, the stunning insertion tube rotation function for precise targeting of EndoTherapy instruments, a 2.0 mm working channel and links with one touch to the video system.

The BF-H290 with incorporated HDTV chip provides brilliant visualisation of the bronchial tree, yet its distal end is only 6.0 mm and its insertion tube is a thin 5.7 mm. The 2.0 mm diameter working channel accommodates instruments including lasers, electro-cautery devices and ultrasonic probes. In NBI mode it is now possible to view twice the visible distance due to the improved performance of the system components. Thus NBI now becomes a really effective observation mode for defining changes in the vascular structure of the mucosa.
The rotatable insertion tube with greater upward angulation maximises maneuverability, while features like the waterproof one-touch connector improve endoscopy suite management and help to protect your investment.

Insertion tube rotation function

The insertion tube can be rotated left or right up to 120 degrees by simply turning a ring on the control section of the scope. This supports easier operation and smoother insertion with less operator fatigue.

NBI (Narrow Band Imaging)

NBI is an optical image enhancement technology that improves the visualisation of vessels on the mucosal surface. NBI is now twice as bright as the CV-260, CLV-260SL and BF-6C260.

Electronic magnification

Electronic magnifi cation of 1.4x, 1.6x, 1.8x is now possible, allowing closer observation.

Wider angulation range

A 210° up angulation range supports smoother insertion to the upper lobe bronchi and allows more of a bend in the scope when an EndoTherapy device is inserted in the endoscope's working channel.

Waterproof one-touch connector

A new connector design minimises the effort required for setup prior to and in between cases. In addition, it is fully submersible and eliminates the need for a water-resistant cap and the associated risk of an expensive repair due to accidental immersion.
